Eligibility

Becoming Medicare eligible gives you the opportunity to purchase very affordable Medicare insurance with comprehensive benefits that will cover all your healthcare needs.

  1. Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) is available when you first become eligible for Medicare (for most, 65th birthday)

  2. You are eligible to enroll during the 7 months surrounding your birthday

Medicare Options

By now, you may have started to receive information and solicitations from insurance companies and insurance brokers interested in selling you an insurance product.  There are many insurance companies available in the marketplace but buying Medicare insurance is a very important decision and one that requires various pieces of information. 

Option 1:

  • Original Medicare - Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B

  • Medicare Part D - Prescription Drug Plan (PDP)

Option 2:

  • Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B

  • Supplemental Insurance (Medigap Plans A-N)

  • Medicare Part D - Prescription Drug Plan (PDP)

Option 3:

  • Medicare Advantage Plan (Medicare Part C) - Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, Medicare D (usually), Other Benefits (dental, vision, hearing, fitness, etc.)

Note: Medicare pays private insurance companies a monthly amount to cover you and usually include Part D
